The Telengana debate on NDTV has not yet clarified what would be the benefits for the Urdu speaking community which would be around 14% of the Telengana population. Whether the state of Telengana would recognize Urdu as a second language beside Telugu. Whether 14% Urdu speaking community would get their fair share in govt. jobs and administration. Such are burning issues for the Urdu speaking community which AIMIM should talk about in any eventuality of Telengana creation.
I commend the stand of Barrister Asaduddin Oweisi for seeking all party conference from the present Andhra Pradesh on the creation of Telengana. The matter of Telengana should not be confined to the Congress and TRS but AIMIM should be invited to express their stand.
Mr asad bhai, how long you are going to keep silent. Now is the time to address meetings and convey your message to public and the government that you have demands for seperation with the condition as mention in your agenda as we muslims are not getting our rights in united andhra. This is the right time to gain the favour of muslims and other communities and try to get the results to benfits muslim and others.
I completely agree with what mr Ghousuddin says. Its enough of dilemma . If you think keeping silent is not going to benefit either . If you look at the agitation taken by other parties , it seems to be almost certain that telangana will happen if not immediately in couple of years time .
People of hyderabad especially muslims are looking upto MIM hoping they would say something or other , so that even they can take a stand whether or not to go with telagana movement.
If telagana carved out and then there is no contribution of muslims in that cause , again people are going to be after muslims saying you did nothing for hte cause

A muslim and an educated person like Asad Saab who has all the ability and qualifications to become a CM should join hands with people who are on the correct side of truth.
This issue is an issue of region not religion. but implicit in the creation of a new state is the benefits for muslims. our strength as a percentage in Assembly will increase, making us kingmakers or even kings.

Telengana is a issue for hindus or other religion but not for muslims . The aggetations which are happening not to give Hyderabad under telangana are basically lead by the Leaders from Andhra and Rayalseema who have invested hugely in Hyderabad and outside Hyderabad in the form of Lands, Farms, Industries Etc.
They feel that once there assets are in Telangana they cant have it under their control as they have now, Hence the are making lots of disturbances.
We Feel that whatever decision MIM will take on this issue would be a good one and will help the community in particular.

MiM is worried over the Muslim Community Interests and nothing else more then that for them as every community leaders worried for them in this Hour of Crisis.
So what is wrong if MiM leader Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi raises the issue of Muslim interests in this whole crisis as they have there genuine demands which have not been met by neither TRS or anyone so in Democracy we have all right to ask our Demands.
They TRS or Congress or TDP think they can give instructions to the Muslim Community and they should obey it blindly this is wrong thinking .We have our own leadership in the State of Andhra Pradesh which comes to the rescue of the Community at the difficult times whether it was the riots in Bhainsa or anywhere no one came to the Muslims Community other then MiM so they cannot decide our fate without consulting MiM and if they were so worried over Muslims welfare then why TRS or Congress did they not elect single Muslim MP or MLA from Telangana Region but when it comes to there issue they ask us to run behind them like slaves.
Those Muslim Organizations who have given support to TRS are giving the rights of Muslims in exchange of nothing but in fear and personal interests and if MiM wants it can also do similar dealings with TRS or Congress but it hasn’t cause Muslim Welfare and interests are before anything for MiM and they cannot sell themselves like ZAK and MBT.
Let our leaders Mr. Asad and Mr. Akbar pass the conditions to the center, TRS and telagana leaders and fight for muslims rights. Like Percentage on govt sector jobs, urdu official language, houses to poor muslims, education to poor muslims and etc.

Muslims represenations in Congress, TDP and TRS are negligible, and still claiming they are representing Muslims.

The BIG QUESTION IS United Andhra or Telengana, what benefits will Muslims gets ?
Hyderabad, Dec. 14: People from the Andhra region, who reside in places like KPHB, Chandanagar, Miyapur and other places, approached the MIM urging the party to de-mand Union Territory status for Greater Hyderabad. They believe the MIM’s in-tervention will force the Centre to reverse its decision on bifurcation of the state.
Though the MIM has been silent on ongoing agitation, the party had earlier demanded that Hyderabad be made a separate state if the Centre wanted to carve out a new state for the Tela-ngana region. The earlier demand of the MIM had given hope to people to pursue the matter again. “The MIM leaders should break their silence and come to the rescue of Andhra people who reside in Hyderabad,” said Mr M. Prem Kumar, a resident of Miyapur.
“Either a Union Territory status or a separate state of Hyderabad will ensure the safety for the people from other regions who are settled in the city,” he added.
Many residents in KPHB feared that the Centre will go ahead with the process of giving shape to Telangana state without considering them.

I studied intermediate in kukatpally. An andhra shopkeeper in that area commented on me saying “how come u living in the andhra desa since your birth, dont know telugu.”
Make hyderabad a union territory having urdu as the official language. Urdu tehzeeb of hyderabad is vanishing as the city is becoming more metropolitan.

Take a good stand and fight for muslims and non muslim of Telangana and take decision which benifits both. Because since many decades these andhra people came to hyderabad without sleepers and now wearing costliest shoes. I am not jeolous of these andhra people. I hope Asad bhai will consider all aspects when voicing his opinions. I would prefer Seperate telangana over United AP for following reasons
1) Historically all of telangana was under nizam. Both communities have respected each other’s culture and preserved their own. Muslims in telangana have their own identity, but muslims in andhra are mixed with telugus. Older generation hindus from telangana can even read and write Urdu.
2) When the state becomes smaller, MIM will have major role in politics, they can even be part of government.
3) I have a bad feeling about making HYD a Union territory. It won’t help us at all. It will only make Andhras happy.
I feel bigger problem for old city muslims is lack of quality education. I don’t know how the current situation is but when i was a kid not many muslims kids were interested in school and their parents didn’t bother about it.
Muslims in other parts of the state are well aware of importance of education and its value.
Some Statements Made by MiM Supremo Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi over New Delhi Meet on Jan 5 in Newspapers.
Though MIM will participate in the Jan 5 talks in New Delhi convened by the Central Govt it will not make its stand known in the meeting. The party is not sure whether it will be a one-off meeting or more such parleys will be conducted by the Centre. Responding to the Centre’s invitation, MIM supremo Asaddudin Owaisi said, “Muslims should be taken on board before arriving at any solution on T as they constitute a sizeable portion of AP population.” TOI
Welcoming the Centre’s initiative on All Party Consultations over the Telanagna Issue in New Delhi on Jan 5 , MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi said his party could not spell out its stand without knowing the agenda or whether the consultations would be spread out over a period of time. He, however, said it was good that all stakeholders, including MIM, were being consulted whereas it was earlier treated as a Congress-and-TRS affair.
Here is an article by reputed and highly respected columnist Mr M J Akbar published today Sunday Times of India – January 3rd 2010, under the caption “Road to peace is through Kashmir”
After reading the article I was surprised and verified the caption once again as the article completely resembles the today’s fight for the separation of Telangana from Andhra Pradesh. “Which comes first?” he asked “peace on earth or goodwill towards people?”
Telugu people are emotional – like we people in India as well as in Pakistan. Any Andhra person finds the same genuine goodwill when he meets any of native of Telangana – be it an auto driver or taxi driver or your colleague in office your Managing Director in a company where you are working or even a lawyer who represents your case in a court where the opposite party’s lawyer is from Andhra!
Telangana is going to be the child of the two-state theory. This is not a matter of geography. Its premise is that Andhras and Telangana people belong to two separate states. Our own Muhammad Ali Jinnahs reiterated million times that living with Andhras is submission to Andhra Capitalists and their oppression. The present day leaders propagated the idea that Andhras people are looting the estates of Telangana people left and right. And they sneered at the people who advised that sustainability of single and united Telugu people state is not only possible but also desirable. And similar to what Mr MJ Akbar has said, Hyderabad will become major issue. Ironically the support of Muslim body MIM is much needed and all the Telugu speaking people are waiting and watching to hear what MIM bosses are going to declare.
In Andhra – Muslims enjoy both ways! One Mr Shameem – who came from Eluru and was working in a software company at Madhapur. Last year January – he was asking me about when the Sankranti (Pongal) will start. I informed the date and asked him why? He said he will be going to his native Eluru as his sister will be coming along with her husband for the festival. “For Pongal?” I wondered. Yes.. we celebrate and give away new clothes – he said. And when the Ramzan arrived – he started fasting and on the day of Holy Ramzan he went again to Eluru to enjoy the festival.
