The Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen put up a good performance in the GHMC election winning 43 of the 69 divisions it contested. In the process the party improved its tally of 34 in 1986 and 36 in 2002.
The Majlis, which emerged as the third biggest group in the GHMC, made a clean sweep of all the seven divisions each in Chandrayangutta and Bahadurpura Assembly constituencies. However, it lost two divisions of Ghanshi Bazar and Aliabad in the Charminar segment, its stronghold, to Congress and TDP. For a change the Majlis expanded its base by winning Amberpet and the newly carved divisions of Tolichowki, Nanalnagar, Shivrampally and Attapur.
Women candidates fielded by the Majlis also fared better. “I am satisfied with the outcome. But we expected to win seven to eight more seats like Kurmaguda, Azampura, Bholakpur and Shaikpet,” said Majlis president, Asaduddin Owaisi.
He is particularly happy to have won 33 of the 38 divisions in the Hyderabad Parliamentary constituency. Later, the victorious candidates came in small rallies to the party office.

When Azampura was so crucial and everyone knew that its going to be a tough competition then why did our party rely on just word of mouth why not the money was involved as the other party did… they (MBT) dumped bags full of money. Overall it was tremendous victory but Azampura was depressing. Azeem, Toronto

Assalam Alaikum, My Dear Brother its not at all depressing for Azampura, infact we have Alhmdulillah enough connections to go on with all activities needed for our locality.Even the elected representative knows that we dont need him.
But i can say that the name of MBT was diminishing as of now can have some relief.From now if they can change themselves then may be can go further, not just sitting in hotels,moving in jeeps,visiting BJP and others for their ass licking.Lastly still they have to think about venturing in to AZAMPURA.

After reading your message got the point there is some lack of communication with the public in Azampura and also got the news reliable friends from Hyderabad. But as you said why we didn’t dumped the money as against candidate has done I, totally disagree with you here because AIMIM party doesn’t buy VOTES by money Alhamdulillah goes into the public solved their issues and problems and then asked vote.
As I remember that words of Late Salar-e-Millat words you have to be always in public solve their problems then you can asked them for the vote so who are against us don’t worry victory will come to you, I always request to all follow this tips from our beloved leader.
Anyhow, don’t depress we have to do hard work and specially new elected corporators make their image in public as well as party’s image then Insha Allah more victories will come to us. Ameen

I request Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi and Mr. Akbaruddin Owaisi to appoint some confidential and sincere people to monitor the work of their counselors with this they give time to their constituency and work sincery, by this Insha Allah next time MIM will get more seats in Assembly and GHMC elections.
